Background Information:

Born on New Alderaan to a family of Alderaanians who survived their home world's destruction, Kaoru led a sheltered life. He grew up knowing nothing

significant of the Empire, the Force, or the Rebellion, he learned how to pilot small domestic speeders when he was little. Lacking a direction in life, he studied many things, never once questioning why his mother had not told him anything about the 'Force' that more of his teachers began to mention.

However, when visiting the Jedi Shrine on Coruscant, an interest in the Force sparked immediately. Being relatively well off, he was able to hire a small research company that helped Alderaanians find their ancestors from before their planet was destroyed. Upon much research, it was discovered that Kaoru's grandfather had been a Jedi during the Clone Wars, and had died while in the arena battle on Geonosis. Kaoru decided to visit the Graveyard, to pay tribute to an entire line of ancestors that he never knew he had, yet felt extremely connected to, none-the-less.  While resting at an outpost orbiting the

Graveyard, he encountered Valin Horn, who, sensing Kaoru's Force sensitivity, decided to bring him to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to see if he could be trained. Following that, Kaoru was able to become a student at the temple at the age of 15. During his weapons training, he suffered a vibroblade blow that partially damaged his left eye, reducing his ability to see out of it. Since then, he increased his training three-fold, to compensate for his loss. Now 16, he is able to spar with the best of the students, and is even able to defend himself from a most of the Master's without being slaughtered. Although he realizes he can be arrogant sometimes, he tries not to be, and sees himself as well on the path to being a Jedi.

Appearance:

Kaoru Himura is five feet, 9 inches, of medium build, and has hair that reaches slightly below his shoulder that is auburn in color with blonde streaks in it. He was been known to change his hair color whenever it suits him, but has not done so since beginning his training at the Jedi Academy. He has made his Jedi Robes black and dark green in color, in tribute to the colors of his family's crest. He commonly wears his hair in a pony tail, so that it does not interfere with whatever he is doing at the time. His ice blue eyes have been said to be eerie and to hold their gaze for too long. Kaoru's pale tone of skin has been said to complement his hair nicely. He has a narrow face with good complexion that is offset only by a scar that runs through his left eye.
