Background Information:

Rawrrya was born in the highest reaches of the great wroshyr trees on the planet Kashyyyk, and thats where she stayed for the first nineteen year of her life. Born to the parents Shalryecca and Malitcabaca.

Like all cubs she spent her days living among other young Wookiees in the nurseries in the highest, and by Wookiee standards, safest parts of the giant trees the wookiees called home. During the night she would be brought home to spend time with her family to help instill a sense of family importance and loyalty. A wookiee's early years are filled with nothing but school and learning, it isn't until they reach the age of roughly fifteen standard years do they start their journey into adult hood through a series of small ceremonies.

The first of which requires the young Wookiee to venture into the lower level of Kashyyyk and harvest fibers from a deadly man eating plant known as a Syren plant. The fibers are then woven into some kind of garment. The lower levels of Kashyyyk are incredibly dangerous and most Wookiees only ever venture that low once in their lives, when conducting their proof of courage. Most Wookiees choose to accept assistance during this trial.

Rawrrya was no different, when time came for her to perform her trial she asked the high wookiee council for help. It was up to the other young wookiees to volunteer to help her, unfortunately none did. None of her friends or peers were willing to step forward and risk their lives in effort to help her prove to the Wookiee elders that she was an adult.

According to tradition once a Wookiee asks the council for help, and no one steps forward to offer it, that Wookiee is seen as unworthy of the trial and must wait until they are older. The Eldest Wookiee on the Council stood as if to announce Rawrrya's failure when someone spoke up from the back of the crows. Another female Wookiee offered to help. Rawrrya recognized the girl as Sirrakuk, the niece of the famous "Mighty Chewbacca" and sister of the Wookiee Jedi Master Lowbacca.

With Sirrakuk's help Rawrrya was able to harvest the fibers without incident and help prove her adulthood. For her help Rawrrya inducted Sirrakuk into her honor family. A Wookiee tradition that extends one's family to those they are not specifically blood related to. As part of an honor family each member would gladly give their life to protect one another. Rawrrya's pledge extended to Sirrakuk's family as well.

For the next four years Rawrrya looked up to the older Wookiee as a big sister and tried to emulate her in every way. It was during this period of time that she first met Lowbacca, Sirrakuk's brother. Lowbacca had returned home for a visit and was greated by the entire village. The Wookiees looked upon Lowie as a true hero and honored the courage of the Jedi who had saved them from slavery at the hands of the empire and who had protected their planet against the Yuuhzan Vong. Upon their meeting Lowbacca could tell instantaneously that the young wookiee was highly force sensitive and would make an excellent candidate to become a Jedi. He told as much to his sister in private, who dare not say anything to young Rawrrya, fearing that she might spark the young girl's already overactive imagination.

Upon Rawrrya's nineteenth birthday she again met with the elder council for job assignment. It is customary that once a Wookiee ends their formal training in the nurseries they become an apprentice under a skilled Wookiee and learn a trade. Rawrrya had never thought much about what trade she would be interested and as a result the Council was angered by her indecisiveness and would order her into an apprenticeship. Such a dishonor is usually only bestowed upon Wookiees who have not settled into a specific field by their one-hundredth year. The jobs that the elders assign are often the jobs that no other Wookiees want because they are so dangerous or dishonorable.

Before the Elders could deliver their punishment, Sirrakuk once again came to her rescue, telling the council what her brother the Jedi Master had told her. The elders were astonished to learn that another from their village might one day became a great protector Jedi. Rather than force her into an apprenticeship the Elders ordered that she be sent away to Corusacnt to begin her training as an honorable Jedi.
