Background Information:

Sateena rarely talks about her past but gleanings have produced a tale of hatred and cruelness as well as pain. Sateena was born to parents of the Cathar planet, kidnapped and sold into slavery before Sateena was born. Consequently, she was born not on her homeworld but on the planet Coruscant. She was soon orphaned when her parents were caught in the cross fires of an attack on the planet.

Soon after, her master sent the poor Cathar to the Kessel mines to be rid of her. She toiled for many years, her prisoner number branded into her shoulder with a tracking device to guard against her escaping. She was rescued, however, soon after she began to exhibit force sensitivity after an accident with a hydraulic lift. Sateena had saved another prisoner from being crushed by using the Force and attracted the attention of a visiting Jedi Knight on an assignment. He organized for Sateena to be freed and took her away from there.

However, he soon noticed that Sateena's anger at her past had caused the Dark Side to enter her life so he decided to take her to Coruscant to train. Sateena was soon admitted into the Jedi Order, despite their worries at what they had been told by her rescuer.

Appearance:

Sateena is a Cathar, a humanoid and cat-like being. Her beauty is graceful rather than forceful. Her body is thin, slender and lithe while very feminine. Her curves give Sateena a body enhanced by her natural and cat-like beauty. This femininity, however, belies a strength and stamina that other races would be hard-pressed to emulate. Sateena can sense things easily and is often the one to first find clues due to this increased alertness and wide hearing range. She has increased agility and balance, her movements often catlike and daring.

She has the usual cat fur on her body, black with white stripes and pointed feline ears. These ears are finely tuned in to pick up various sounds that are unintelligible to the human ear. The hair on her head, however, is long and white and often tied in a braid. Her cat-like eyes are well-seeing in the dark and daylight, giving her an edge on humans, the pale green irises often contracting to form slits. The thin white scars on her high cheekbones hails back to days that she refuses to talk about. The only defining feature other than the scars is a brand on her left shoulder.

Personality:

Sateena is very cautious, taking time to consider every possible consequence for her words. She prefers to remain watchful and silent. She often will raise her voice in an emergency but never shouts. She prefers to let things take their own courses unless someone is threatened. She will never reveal a secret, even under torture. The cautiousness of her nature will never make her afraid to speak her mind, however. She rarely laughs and often stares into the distance as if she is looking for something such as hope.

Sateena will rarely initiate conversation and her gracefulness is often replaced with regal imperialness. This is due to her nature as a Cathar, as her race is very proud and trusts in their own ability more than that of others. This is something she is often reprimanded for by her master. When she becomes angry, her eyes flash with fire and she will rarely admit defeat. Her eyes often stare at people and she is especially prone to sarcasm. She often bottles up emotions and replaces them behind a shield.

This natural pride, however, does not stop Sateena from having a great sense of valor, honor and allegiance. She has a strong moral code and will rarely stray from that path. She will never treat others below their station and will often defer to others lower than herself. She prefers to show sanctity to life and values her own very highly. She is very impulsive when she wants to be but at the same time steadfast to what she perceives as the rules of life.
