Background Information: A Native of the planet Dorin, Tasut was interested in the history of his people since he was just a young boy. When he found several documentations that hadn't been destroyed during the Empire that listed a fellow Kel Dor as a Jedi Master and Council member, Plo Koon, he knew he was to become a Jedi. Not too many visitors come to the planet Dorin, for it lies between two black holes, making it rather hard to navigate a direct course to the planet. This made it a perfect place to build a New Jedi Academy during the Yuuzhan Vong war. Although another location was eventually used, Luke Skywalker had visited the planet a few times to study the possiblilties. While there Luke and several other Jedi with him befriended some of the locals, after the war they returned to Dorin to pay their respects to their dead friends and to reminisce with the ones still alive. It was during this trip to the plant that an eight-year-old Tasut was labeled as a possible Jedi Student at Luke Skywalker's new Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Tasut pleaded his parents to let him go once he was old enough. By the time he turned fifteen he was off to Coruscant.
Appearance: The Kel Dor home planet, Dorin, has a very thin atmosphere. As a result the Kel Dors have a hard time surviving off world. Tasut is forced to wear a pair of goggles over his eyes and a breath mask to keep the rich oxygen from touching his eyes or lunges. He the were exposed to it for even a mere second or so it could permanently blind him or even kill him, being a Jedi warrior this would be seen as a weakness. Tasut took just this into consideration, his goggles and breath mask were built to fit his face exactly so they couldn't be pulled off in battle, he had learned that from reading the documents about Plo Koon who wore similar goggles and breath mask. Kel Dors have a natural bright red skin color, to help camouflage them on their home planet. Tasut wears Jedi robes like most other Jedi students and apprentices at the temple.
